Outlook 2019 / 365

To set up a new email account in Outlook 2019 / Office 365, follow these tips:

Open Outlook and click on "File"

Then choose to add a new account.

In the window that then appears, choose to fill in the advanced options.

After clicking connect, you have to wait a very short time after which you will be given the following choices.

We choose POP for this example.

Fill in the names you got from your provider or web builder here including the correct port numbers. If you have been given port 465 instead of port 587, you can also fill this in but you must then choose SSL instead of STARTTLS for the encryption method. However, port 587 is preferred as it uses newer techniques.

Some providers require you to tick SPA (Single Page Application).

Then click next.
